Zum 10 jährigen Jubiläum der Platformers’ Days ist natürlich auch MANITOU traditionell wieder mit einem umfangreichen Ausstellungsprogramm vertreten.

Im Bereich Hubarbeitsbühnen zeigen wir von der kleinsten Scherenbühne 78 XE bis zur großen Teleskoparbeitsbühne 150 TP mit 1.000 kg Tragkraft auf der gesamten Plattform die Highlights aus dem Produktprogramm.  

Mit dem MT 1840 A, einer starren Teleskopmaschine mit 18 m Hubhöhe, und dem MRT 2150 P, einem Teleskop mit drehbarem Oberwagen und 21 m Hubhöhe, präsentiert MANITOU zwei Glanzstücke der neuen Produktserie PRIVILEGE.

Teleskoplader MRT 2150 der Firma Eder auf Zugspitzblatt

Auf der derzeit höchsten Baustelle Deutschlands arbeitet momentan auch ein Manitou MRT 2150,  ein drehbarer Teleskoplader, den das Schongauer Bauunternehmen Haseitl von der Eder GmbH Stapler angefordert hat.
Etwa zwei Monate wird der Bau der Talstation für die neue Seilbahn auf dem Zugspitzblatt in 2600 Metern Meereshöhe zum Schneefernerhaus dauern.
Die Herausforderung an die Logistiker war:
Die Maschine musste mit der Zahnradbahn durch den Tunnel von Riffelriss bis zum Endbahnhof nach oben transportiert werden, wobei eine maximale Höhe der Maschine von 2,70 Metern nicht überschritten werden durfte.

Rekordverdächtiges leistete dabei Werkstattmeister Felix Mönkemeier von der Eder Stapler Niederlassung Dasing: die auf dem bereitgestellten Waggon demontierten Reifen des Teleskoplstaplers wurden am Endbahnhof wieder aufmontiert. Das Zeitfenster hierfür betrug genau ein Stunde, denn dann musste die Zahnradbahn wieder Richtung Talstation abfahren.

New Chief Executive Officer of MANITOU

In their meeting which took place on June 2, 2009 the Supervisory Board presided over by Mr. Marcel Braud decided to appoint Mr. Jean-Christophe Giroux as Chief Executive Officer replacing Mr. Marcel Claude Braud.

This change is the result of a reflection of several months the necessity of which is emphasised by the events which took place at the end of 2008; the contraction of the orderbook on a world-level, the acquisition of GEHL in the United States, the urge for a clear and efficient organisation, call for a management both global and reactive at the Head of the Group, allowing MANITOU to better adapt to its new environment and to consolidate its leadership.

This decision, which mirrors the wish of the founding Family to concentrate on the governance of the company, as well as on its strategy, will be coupled with a return to a legal structure based on a Board of Directors, both simpler and more efficient on a operational point of view.

This new organisation-scheme in which Mr. Marcel Braud will become non-executive Chairman of the Board and Mr. Jean-Christophe Giroux will continue as the Chief Executive Officer, will be submitted –after all legal details have been finalised– to the approbation of an Extraordinary General Assembly of MANITOU shareholders which will be called in autumn.

General Assembly - December 17, 2009

• Change of the bylaws and adoption by the Shareholders Meeting of a structure with a Board of Directors. Appointment of two new board members.
• Mr. Marcel Braud is appointed non-executive Chairman of the Board ; Mrs Jacqueline Himsworth is appointed non-executive Vice-Chairperson of the Board; Mr. Jean-Christophe Giroux is confirmed as President and Chief Executive Officer ;
• Q4 revenue in line with Q3 ; confirmation of the operating turnaround ;
• Impact of the low business level in the United States on the US credit agreement and on the net profit level.
